Monday is always Day One, ever notice that? Everyone always says "Okay, I'll start my diet on Monday." It's universal, I'm sure. I think what is important is to make every day into day one. Every single day should be a new commitment to starting fresh in everything you do, from dieting through to any other project or plan you have in your life.
What do you think? Is it possible to live with each day with a renewed commitment to yourself? Happy Monday and have a great week!

Brown bagging and saving pennies

I bring my lunch to work everyday now. It's amazing how much money you can save by doing this - and not only that, how many calories you can save! I sat down and figured out that I save at least 60% on my calories everyday by bringing something in.
So I talked to my friend last night about diet supplements. She tried to say that they were expensive so she was against them. I totally don't agree. When you think about it, if you are controling your appetite and eating smart, you aren't buying junk food and unhealthy foods. The money you save on that is replaced by a diet supplement and you are STILL saving money. Do the math!

Cheesecake and diet soda..hmm...
Ever notice that when you go out for an evening with your friends to celebrate something, it usually means going out for a meal? And that meal is usually something decadent, or involves a massive dessert because, well, it's a celebration! As I'm trying to eat healthier, I've really been paying attention to those moments when I feel like having a "treat". Why do I want to undo a week's worth of diet effort all for the sake of cheesecake?
And to top it off - I'd order a diet soda.
Think about it.
Here's a piece you might find interesting from one of our newsletters:
That Diet Soda Might Make You Fat!
Diet soda drinking has been linked with metabolic syndrome, leading to high cholesterol, high blood sugar levels, high blood pressure and increased abdominal fat. Need to sip on something but want to avoid the calories? Try squeezing half an orange into a bottle of water or carbonated water. You’ll get the flavor you want, the benefits of a little orange juice and avoid the unwanted sugar and calories of regular soda.
Makes you think, doesn't it.
I think things like the Curb Your Cravings Diet Patch are perfect for times like this when you just can't say no!
And to top it off - I'd order a diet soda.
Think about it.

Sitting on my Butt

Grose! I went out dancing this weekend and on Monday I got up from my desk and caught myself making the sounds only a much older person should be making, and my knees actually cracked! What's that all about? You know what it is, it's the fact that I sit all day at my desk and don't move a lot while I'm working! So I was editing an article on exercising at your desk and decided that I would start doing desk exercises and stretches. It's really quite easy. I think that within a few days I should be seeing more of a difference. In fact I'm already feeling a little more tone in my legs and arms after just a couple of days!
I got a couple of emails from people asking how things are going with my journey on the Pink Patch. Honestly, it's awesome! I haven't had to have a snack at all today, and I feel really good. It's already close to 4pm and after my sensible lunch of a turkey burger and salad, I have yet to be remotely interested in food. Ta-da!
Keep on writing in, ladies!
